Does anyone really think it's by accident that there are "leaks" from Apple about their new product pipeline...specifically TV?

Not by a long shot. In fact, given Steve Jobs' marketing brilliance, it's far more likely that before he died he made sure that there would be a well-timed announcement about what's next not long after he passed away.

The first mention of Apple's new foray into the "big screen" occurred during the "Celebrating Steve" event that the company held for all its employees at the Cupertino campus. (Please note - the Safari Browser is required for viewing at this time.) During one of the Board member's presentations there was a quick comment in passing about Jobs' hopes for the future of TV.

Just a quick mention.  Merely a word or two.

Next came the mentions in the press.  Those started with the reviews of the new, authorized and already bestselling biography of Jobs written by Walter Isaacson.  It just so happened that during the last days of his life, while being interviewed by Isaacson, Steve Jobs mentioned that the next frontier for Apple was TV.

Now, with articles in every imaginable business publication, the talk is all about Apple TV - from how, with Jobs' death, the company isn't as good at protecting its secrecy - to how Apple TV ensures at least another year of new product in the pipeline.

It was almost as good as one of Jobs' patented and never-to-be-forgotten product launches. Or at least as close as he could make it, given that he wouldn't be there.

Steve Jobs was more than committed to Apple's success.  It was his life's work.  Being the smart man that he was, that wouldn't end with something as simple or inconvenient as his death.  Not if he could do something about it.

With a brain that visioned years ahead of its time, it's no accident that the talk is now about the next frontier for Apple's products and pipeline.  Jobs would have made sure - and coordinated with his team - that as soon as polite after his death, he was still doing what he could to ensure Apple's successful future.

After all, the talk - now - isn't about him being gone.  It's all about what his company is creating next.

And that - as he would say - is "magical."
