Google's First "Spaceship" Landed
The world's first dedicated Google phone store just opened in Australia with special Google-trained staff.
The tech goliath's first bricks and mortar store is called Androidland. It is designed with the "look and feel" of a spaceship to directly challenge its rival Apple stores.
The store has a scent of a gingerbread, the name of Android's current version.
The spaceship-themed store has larger than life smartphone and novelty games area, including the popular Angry Birds and a giant Google earth on display.
The experimental store is located in Melbourne and is being given a six-month trial run by the search engine giant.
Does Apple need to worry about Google's "spaceship" landing in America sometime soon? Hmmmmn...the consumers will decide on that.
