Is MySpace Down for the Count? - Page 2
Specific Media sometimes described as a “shadowy” or “anonymous” advertising company in a press release announces Justin Timberlake will also have “ownership stake and play a major role in developing creative direction and strategy for the company moving forward.” The big reveal of the new improved MySpace will take place later this summer.
In the press release Timberlake says, “There’s a need for a place where fans can go to interact with their favorite entertainers, listen to music watch videos, share and discover cool stuff, and just connect. MySpace has the potential to be that place.” Timberlake goes on to say he is excited to help with the revitalization and bring artists and fans together in a community.
I don’t know what the comeback of MySpace will look like, all I can think about it do we really need it? For that matter do we need Facebook or LinkedIn? You know it’s the internet, people can just not show up.
