Lifecrowd & Eventup Kick Off Partnership With Unique Event
Los Angeles based startup, Lifecrowd, along with fellow LA startup Eventup, announced a partnership last week designed to enhance the user experiences for customers of both services. They also held an event highlighting the partnership last Thursday, June 7th at Geisha Studio in Los Angeles. Lifecrowd, the social activities discovery platform was the first company to launch out of new LA-based startup/accelerator program MuckerLab, and recently received $5mil in initial funding led by Chicago based Lightbank ventures. Lightbank also led an initial $1.8 Mil funding round for Eventup, which was announced yesterday, and represents the investment fund of Groupon founders Eric Lefkofsky and Brad Keywell, so it makes sense, with their knowledge of local to get involved with both companies.

Partnering with Lifecrowd enables us to give people memorable one-of-a-kind experiences at the most exceptional venues.
Lifecrowd company founder, Bong Koh stated, on the idea behind Lifecrowd, "we just help you meet new people and try new activities". One of many featured activities used to augment the Eventup partnership was Sushi making at Geisha Studio, at the historic Granada building in LA.They also had a mixologist who was showcasing two different Gin drinks, a "Southside" and a "Rosemary Salty Dog", which you can see being made in the video below. I also had a chance to talk to Lifecrowd co-founder Allyson Pizula about how the night exemplifies the partnership between both companies.
Eventup, the startup company also based in LA and previously covered here, aims to take the hassle out of finding venues for any kind of event, from weddings, concerts, parties to private gatherings and corporate functions. Eventup founder and CEO Tony Adam stated, "Partnering with Lifecrowd enables us to give people memorable one-of-a-kind experiences at the most exceptional venues. At Eventup, we aim to help people plan their perfect event by giving them access to the most exclusive and widest array of locations. Now, with access to Lifecrowd's unique experiences, we're excited to see what users will put together."
