LinkedIn Unveils Revamped Job Service

Experts will tell you that in our modern world, the best way to find a job is to build your personal brand and do lots of online networking.  As the social network for professionals, LinkedIn is a prime target for your efforts, and their job section is indeed well stocked with enticing new positions.

This weekthey have unveiled an updated jobs board on the site, with some new features that should hopefully make the task altogether easier and more enjoyable.

The first thing you'll notice is that the design has undergone a transformation.  That aside, there are some key functional differences.  For instance, you can now search for jobs by country, zip code, industry and function.

When you first visit the jobs section you'll see a list of jobs you might be interested in.  These will be based upon your experience and resume that you have entered into your profile.

LinkedIn have also made it much clearer how you are connected to the company you're applying for.  You'll be able to see any 1st degree connections that work at the company, and also any links to the hiring manager.  Saved searches have also been improved in that they’re now quicker to find.

Premium members also get some new functionality, with an updated search function now offering salary requirements, with embedded tips to help you improve your search.
