Not Just Shoes Flying Out the Door at Zappos - Page 2
The intrusion at Zappos might seem a minor one, with the exception that I shop there, a lot. I love shoes, purses and I buy them. How has this affected me? I no longer buy online with the frequency I did once. What will be the impact on Zappos? Amazon? No answers or details yet about when the breach occurred, how long access was until discovered, and then how was it discovered?
The previous time my information was “exposed” in a cyber breach the company offered Identity theft monitoring for customers, whether that will be offered to the affected customers is not yet clear. Phone support has been suspended and they are working with customers via email, redirecting employees to work with the anticipated volume.
In my email from Zappos it warned me to beware of emails requesting my personal information or information about my account, it seemed to me again too little too late, the car is gone.
