Pizza Hut Needs a Social Media Manager. Can You Interview in 140 Seconds?
Do you tweet a lot on Twitter? Post pics of cats, wine, food and crazy stuff on Instagram? Post other stuff to Tumblr? Are you super savvy with social media? If you answered, "Yes," then Pizza Hut has a great job for you! Now, are you as good as you think you are?
Pizza Hut will know. How? A 140 second interview. It's as long as a brilliant tweet. You'll have 140 characters or less to persuade them you'd be the best one for their Social Media Manager job. Can you really wow them with your wit and brevity? Will your punchy tweet rise above the rest of the chirping flock? Their twitterviews will be held in Austin Hilton (Tx.) at South By Southwest (SXSW) this Sunday, March 10, job details at (BecauseImGreat.com). Candidates are to bring only their smartphone and ID to the twitterrview.
The official job description will be posted to the Pizza Hut career's mobile site. The company will hold a second round of interviews via Google+ on March 14. (3.14, National Pi Day or is that Pizza Pie day?)
Pizza Hut is being state of the art. They won't be racing through resumes on paper, just Linkedin profiles on smartphones. Here's why.
It's the modern day elevator speech. The time you have to tell a story, engage a customer or leave a lasting impression on someone socially has shrunk to seconds. (Doug Terfehr, Director of PR)
