The year of 2011 is a year that Research In Motion are probably extremely happy to put behind them. It was a year for BlackBerry headlines, which were not proud moments, mixed with poor product releases, bad reviews, drunk executives and falling stocks. Due to many of those very news stories (many of which were covered here as well), RIM was named the Top Canadian Business Newsmaker for 2011 by the Canadian Press.

That title is usually something that a business would be proud to hang over their front lobby area, most likely in the form of a cut out paper, hung within an expensive frame. Not this one for RIM. It is a reminder of just how bad things got for them in 2011. That said, let's not hang our heads just yet RIM, do things better, do them differently, and for the love of all things BlackBerry, let's see some great products.
