SEO Link Building for Your Business
Are you interested in getting your website great rankings and keeping them?
As a freelance copywriter I spend a lot of time writing web copy for my clients. More and more people are beginning to understand the power of SEO and how vital it is in today's ferocious online marketplace.
But what people don't always get is that a quick splash of SEO to their website isn't enough. It will only get you so far on its own. In fact you could say that on-page SEO is just not going to cut it on its own.
On-page SEO isn't a quick fix.
Even with expert keyword research, award-winning copy, carefully placed keywords, and fabulous title tags, a quick SEO makeover isn't going to get you top rankings and keep them.
You gotta link
Achieving and maintaining great search engine rankings is helped by gaining links. That doesn't mean dashing out and buying loads of links. They have to be relevant and high quality links.
Go out and find them. Write articles and blog to develop anchor text back links to your website.
Read and comment on other blogs (relevant to your website) to gain links and encourage traffic.
Use Web 2.0 properties such as Squidoo and Hubpages to build links.
The more relevent the links are that point back to your site, the more Google (and the other search engines) will see you as an authority on your particular subject matter. After all, if you are getting links from respected sites in your field, you must be an expert, right?
Basically what I'm saying is that search engine optimisation is an ongoing process. You can bet your competitors are constantly reviewing their search engine performance and positioning so if you don't follow suit, you'll be left behind.
If you're serious about succeeding online you have to show dedication. Build your SEO activities into your day. Make them part of your normal routine.
Constantly hone your SEO. Watch your analytics carefully and discover which keywords are performing the best. Perhaps people are beginning to find you under a different search phrase, could optimizing for that phrase bring you more targeted traffic?
Watch where your competitors are getting their links from. Can you get links there too?
SEO and link building isn't a quick fix. Persistent, regular activity will reap rewards.
