Technorati's Charts offer a unique way of looking at activity in the Blogosphere. You can see the frequency, over time, of how blog posts are being tagged, or just the frequency of blog posts that contain certain search terms. This is a great way of spotting trends and determining what are the prevailing topics - even in very specific niches - of the Blogosphere.
