Shani Higgins | Chief Executive Officer

Shani joined Technorati in 2007 to launch and lead strategy and day to day operations including sales and business development. In 2008 the company launched an ad network giving a marketing voice to the independent web and offering a way for top brands to tap into their influence in meaningful ways. In 2010 the company turned profitable and in 2011 Shani took over as CEO. Under her leadership, Technorati has evolved from a advertising service business to a key programmatic powerhouse that empowers publishers through proprietary technology to find the most valuable advertising opportunities on an impression by impression basis.  Today Technorati represents over 1,000 important web publishers and recently made the top 20 list in Pixelate’s Global Seller Trust Index . Prior to joining Technorati, Shani held senior management roles at Infoseek/GO/Disney, Ziff Davis, Benedek Investment Group, and Tacit Software. She earned her B.A. in Communication and Art History from Rutgers University where she also ran the university newspaper, The Daily Targum.

Abderrezak Kamel | Chief Technology Officer

Abderrezak Kamel (fondly referred to as “AK”) is responsible for building Technorati’s programmatic platform that unifies demand and accelerates advertising earnings for publishers. AK brings almost two decades of experience in Online Advertising, Information Retrieval, and Natural Language Processing. Prior to Technorati, he directed the development and enhancement of LucidMedia’s DSP, contextual analysis and RTB offerings. Prior to his position at LucidMedia, AK held integral roles at Autonomy and Verity. AK was a Computational Semiotics PhD student at Leonardo da Vinci University, Paris, France and earned his MS in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Montpellier, France.

Michele Slack | General Manager

Michele is a seasoned media executive having held senior-level strategic planning, business development, marketing, and operations positions at leading digital media brands, including SFGate.com, Hearst, and NYTimes.  More recently, Michele was SVP of Business Operations for inPowered, an ad technology start up focused on content marketing.  Michele holds a BA from the University of California, Berkeley and an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business.
