Welcome back to New Release Reviews for Dark Horse Comics. The biggest news this week is that the Green Lantern universe is not content to simply stay content with a gay Green Lantern. Now, rumors are circulating that there will be Arabic Green Lantern joining the Corps.

Well, Dark Horse was ahead of DC Comics in the gay news with The Goon, and they're going to continue pushing the envelope this with this week's releases. Titles are scored on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the very best possible. We take the time to read these books so your time isn't wasted.

Score: 6 out of 10

Conan The Barbarian - Issue 5

The only thing that's average about this issue is the cover. Everything else is amazing. The story is narration heavy but there is a poetic nature to the narration, that mirrors the beauty of the love story. Conan and Bêlit.

It's very violent, but the violence serves a purpose in the story. It reinforces the devotion Conan has for her and it shows he'll do anything for her. Even take abuse just to give her more time to accomplish her goals. The art is great. The love story, greater.
