Disgraced Miss California Acts Like 3-Year Old On Larry King
If you can't handle the truth on Larry King Live, you have no truth to offer. Such is the case for dethroned beauty queen and hypocrite Carrie Prejean.
Ms. Prejean joined CNN's very own septuagenarian to hock her new book Still Standing, which we are all sad about, and instead of answering straight forward questions, she essentially stuck her fingers in her ears and said "lalalalala, I can't hear you." Which is pretty effective when you are 3, but not so much when you are 22, as is the case for Prejean.
Larry simply asked her why she settled her lawsuit with Miss California Pageant USA, which she filed after being dethroned for breach of contract in June of this year. In August, Ms. Prejean filed a million dollar suit against the pageant "based on a variety of civil grounds, including libel and the unauthorized release of private medical records."
After much posturing, whining, bitching and moaning to the media about religious bigotry as the basis for her dismissal, Ms. Prejean suddenly dropped the suit after the lawyer representing the pageant presented...wait for it...here it comes...a SEX TAPE.
SHOCKING, I know! This from the woman who misappropriated the bible during her final question as she was about to be (potentially) crowned Miss USA. When asked by none other than celeb blogger Perez Hilton, her views on gay marriage, Ms. Prejean gave a rambling speech about how marriage was between a man and woman and gays should be burned at the stake. Ok, not the last part, but it was the usual religious conservative view on same-sex marriage.
The most hilarious part of this trainwreck-of-an-interview is when Larry gives up his line of questioning and takes a call. The caller states he is a gay man and loves watching pageants and wanted to know what advice Carrie could give a gay couple who wished to get married. While this is going on Prejean removes her mike, stares off set and acts petulant. This is comedy gold. If it weren't so uncomfortable to watch, I'd have thought it was scripted for my viewing enjoyment.
So, once again, we have another religious hypocrite, using the bible to damn others, while she herself engages in, dare I say, inappropriate behavior.
Carrie, can you please disappear, and perhaps take Sarah Palin with you? Now that seems TOTALLY appropriate.
