The boys are rounding back into shape. After a depressing beginning to the season, the mood of this episode was a lot more chipper. Our boys are now living in an upscale LA hotel after last week’s house fire. Doug Ellin seems to be trying to deliver on his promise of making this season a little more like the first season.

Johnny Drama was the standout of this episode. He started the episode by wearing a ridiculous shirt and hyping his 8-pack abs. He quickly followed that with an Elin Nordegren joke about Eric’s ex-fiancée (for some reason, it still felt too soon). In addition to all the good times with the boys, Drama’s cartoon with Andrew Dice Clay tested through the roof. Unfortunately, this leads Dice to want to renegotiate his deal on the show for more money despite the fact the show has not aired yet.

Turtle’s girlfriend still won’t call him back. This storyline needs to end fast. Despite that, Turtle was involved in the Entourage Obligatory Attractive Women Scene of the Week with some of the tequila girls. At least the week wasn’t a total loss for him.

Eric had an up and down week. He went over to Sloane’s house to pick up his things. He runs into Sloane, has an argument with her, and then they sleep together. After their romantic interlude, Sloane calls Eric to inform him that she has quit her job, and she is moving to New York. Eric announces Sloane’s move to the group, and Drama lands the Line of the Night: “Poor guy must (expletive) like dog(expletive).” Perfectly timed and delivered by Drama. Kevin Dillon almost has me convinced to watch his CBS pilot this fall.

Vince is still trying to work on his movie idea as a vehicle for Drama. He and Billy spent some time together trying to sort through the details. Needless to say, I wasn’t disappointed to miss out on the acting prowess of Adrian Grenier this week.
