Google eReader Available Soon at Target

The first e-reader on which Google eBooks can be directly purchased will be launched next week and available exclusively at Target. The Google eReader is made by iriver and will be called the Story HD and will feature a QWERTY keypad and support for EPUB and PDF ebook formats. Google ebooks will be available for direct purchase through the Story HD. There are currently over 3 million books available from Google.

The design of the Story HD is very similar to that of the Kindle but with a higher resolution screen. The new Story HD will retail for $139.99 and will be available starting on July 17th in Target stores nationwide. More information is available at the iriver website.
