Following that, IDW is releasing a new issue of G.I. Joe: Snake Eyes as well as eight other new comics this week. Titles are scored on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the very best possible. We take the time to read these books so your time isn't wasted.
Frankenstein Alive! Alive! - Issue 2
Though the original tale of Frankenstein and his monster, Adam, is lumped into horror, it really was as much about the march of technology and its effects on humanity. This mini-series captures much of that theme as it is extremely thoughtful and heart-wrenching. Add to that the phenomenal artwork by Bernie Wrightson and this a comic everyone should read.
Score: 9 out of 10
Judge Dredd - Issue 1
This series is a perfect example of the mayhem associated with prior Judge Dredd stories, with an emphasis on the theme of technology running amok. Interior art is fine and the covers are excellent. And there's about twenty-four different covers to choose from.
Score: 7 out of 10
Adventures Of Augusta Wind - Issue 1
This series has an excellent look. The covers are interesting. The interior is stylish with vibrant coloring. The coloring of the font left some things to be desired. The story itself if fun and imaginative, with low peril making it more accessible for younger readers.
Score: 6.5 out of 10
G.I.Joe Snake Eyes - Issue 19
This story is very heavy in shifting allegiances and clandestine operations. It makes it hard to know where people stand which creates tension. Interior artwork is so sir tot great and sort of week. The covers are almost great. Though, some props should be given for the Purple Rain homage.Continued on the next page
