Jaycee Dugard's "A Stolen Life" Already #1 on Amazon

Kidnap victim Jaycee Dugard's new memoir, A Stolen Life, was just released ona stolen life July 12th and it is already the number one bestseller on Amazon. In the book, Dugard details her 18-year captivity and the abuse she suffered at the hands of Phillip Garrido and his wife, Nancy.

Jaycee Dugard was just 11 years old when she was snatched off the street by the Garridos. Over the course of nearly two decades she was held captive in the couple's backyard, raped and abused. Dugard gave birth to two daughters fathered by Garrido during her long ordeal. "Physical abuse was all I knew," said Jaycee. She was eventually discovered and freed when police became suspicious of Garrido on a college campus in 2009.

A Stolen Life was published by Simon and Schuster and was released earlier this week. By the end of its first day, it was already Amazon's top-selling book. It is currently available in hardcover, ebook and audiobook versions.
