Jesse James Checks Out and Back Into Rehab
In the ongoing marital trials and tribulations of biking mogul Jesse James, we are now hearing James checked out of rehab over the weekend, then checked back in late Sunday.
James, who's now estranged from his Oscar-winning wife Sandra Bullock, is said to be working hard to put his life back together after a handful of women have come forward stating they had sex with reality TV star. The cheating scandal rocked what from the outside, seemed like a happy, if unconventional union, between the lovable Bullock and the burly tatted mechanic.
Sandra, high on her Oscar win for her touching portrayal in The Blind Side, is said to be devastated by the alleged infidelities and many entertainment sites have indicated she is making plans to divorce James. The couple married in 2005 and Sandra was instrumental in Jesse getting full custody of his 6-year old daughter Sunny, from his second marriage to porn star Janine Lindemulder.
Over the weekend it was reported James was acting erratic and became agitated during his rehab stint when Bullock refused his to take his call. It was then James alleged left rehab and was staying with a friend close by. Now reports state he has checked back in and his lawyer stated "he [Jesse] wants to save his marriage with the woman he loves more than anything in his life."
What it looks like to an outside observer, is that Jesse James thought he could use rehab as a way to manipulate Bullock into sticking around, the same Tiger Woods did after his cheating scandal broke, but Sandra's not buying it. Once he realized Sandra wasn't going with the program, he must have had second thoughts about a 45 day stay in sex rehab and bolted.
With him checking back in, it's one of two things: either a renewed sense of responsibility to address his problems, or a last ditch final effort to show Sandra he's serious.
Either way, the couple have a long and painful road ahead of them regardless of what Sandra's final decision is.
The silver lining — Sandra must surely know even if Jesse didn't have her back — America does.
