Katie Holmes Gearing Up For Another Baby?
Oh great, just what the world needs, another child born into the plague that is Scientology.
According to a report in Page Six, actress Katie Holmes, who traded her freedom and Catholic faith for a life as a cult-member and a Tom Cruise accessory, is ramping up her auditing sessions.
What could this mean? Well, if you believe Page Six, these latest intense sessions at the Scientology Center in Hollywood, parallel her behavior just prior to getting pregnant with her daughter Suri. Suri Cruise, the stylish, photo-ready child of Cruise and Holmes, is a tabloid staple, both for her strange parents and her own irrepressible cuteness.
However, the auditing that Katie is said to be engaging in is pretty stressful stuff. Hours of being hooked up to an e-meter (Scientology's own version of a lie-detector test) while an "auditor" asks extremely personal questions with responses being recorded can't be fun.
Scientologists believe in a "silent birth," which by definition is avoiding: "any words spoken are recorded in the reactive mind and can have an aberrative effect on the mother and the child."
Holmes, whose overall appearance and career have taken a serious hit since hooking up with Cruise in 2005, could also just be working her way up the Bridge to Total Freedom (or as those of us in the know call, Bridge to Total Bankruptcy.)
Whatever the reason for the increased visits, you can be sure they will be closely monitored by cult-critics and Scientologists alike.
