Scholastic Storybook Treasures will release its latest three-disc combo on November 16, Click, Clack, Moo: Cows that Type…and more fun on the farm!. One of the included discs, Giggle, Giggle, Quack…and More Stories by Doreen Cronin was released earlier this year.

Those who enjoyed Randy Travis’ laid back reading of “Giggle, Giggle, Quack,” “Dooby Dooby Moo,” and “Duck for President,” will be happy to hear his narration of another Farmer Brown’s farm story, “Click, Clack, Moo.” Just in time for winter, Farmer Brown’s cows type him notes advising that they and the chickens are on strike until they get electric blankets. Duck is staying neutral and behaving, until Farmer Brown and the cows negotiate an agreement.

In addition to Randy Travis, Click, Clack Moo: Cows that Type…and More Amusing Animal Tales features the voice talents of Helen Hunt and Hank Azaria (“Chicken Little”), and Tim Curry (“I, Crocodile”) who is outrageously perfect narrating the story of an aristocratic crocodile who was captured by that shameless poacher, Napoleon, and put on display in Paris. Raul Malo’s music adds to the fun as viewers learn why the crocodile just had to start eating people (oh, it sounds ghastly but it’s not. Just stay out of the sewers of Paris). Steven Kellogg’s retelling is a highly energetic version of “Chicken Little.” Voracious Foxy Loxy may catch a lot of poultry, but a hippo spoils his plan.

In a live action short, two kids think a wading pool and a box of Mr. Bubble is the ideal combination when they agree “Let’s Give Kitty a Bath.” The marmalade tabby—their intended victim—thinks it’s a very bad idea, and leads them on a merry chase. Luckily for the cat, he’s smarter than his intended captors (and he gets a great meal out of the deal). Other stories on the Click, Clack, Moo disc are “The Cow That Fell in the Canal,” “Hot Hippo,” and “Waiting for Wings.”
