Lightning Strikes the Dome of St. Peter's Basilica Hours After Pope Benedict's Retirement

Billions of Roman Catholic Followers who were already shocked by 's shocking retirement decision were furthered shocked when a Lightning Bolt Struck the dome of St. Peter's Basilica- One of the holiest Catholic sites which Holds a eminent place in Catholic world.
The Lightning Struck only a few hours later after Pope's Retirement speech. The Picture of Lightening striking the St. Peter's dome quickly spread on the Internet and soon became a topic of Interest. Many took the event as the 'Sign from the Heavens.'
85-Year-Old Pope announced his retirement decision in a Cardinals meeting on Monday. With this decision he became the First Pope to resign in 600 Years. Pope Gregory XII was the last Pope who resigned from the Papacy way back in 1415.
In the Cardinals meeting Pope said, "After having repeatedly examined my conscience before God, I have come to the certainty that my strengths, due to an advanced age, are no longer suited to an adequate exercise of the Petrine ministry."
Pope also thanked the Cardinal's for the Love and affection they shared with him. He also asked Pardon for his defects and also gave them blessing's to Elect the New Supremo.
Pope's reign will end on 28th of this Month at 08:00PM GMT.
Pope Benedict XVI was born in Bavaria, Germany. He succeeded John Paul II on 19 April 2005 becoming the 265th Pope. He was one of the Oldest Pope, elected at the age of 78.
The new Bishop of Rome will be elected before Easter Day in a papal conclave where the Cardinals under the age of 80 will vote and determine the new Pope.
