The Escapades of the Bronx Zoo Cobra: What You Want and Need To Know
He is the man-the legend- from the Bronx whose love of Ray's Pizza, bagels, the Yankees, and fat-bottomed girls. This man is a hot mess who loves a good party with any of his 200,000 plus Twitter followers. Charlie Sheen? Good guess, but, not so fast. Donald Trump? Nope!
On May 28, we were introduced to the rogue cobra who escaped from his enclosure at the Bronx Zoo. Recently, the cobra was found inside of the Bronx Zoo's famous Reptile House. The little girl was found curled up in the enclosure in an attempt to escape the cold.
While I think she's beautiful, a bite from her could kill a human in fifteen minutes! Like the zookeepers, I'm very glad that neither the cobra or a Brooklynite was hurt. Being able to swim, slither, and slide- she must have been difficult to catch!
The rogue snake's impersonator amassed a large following on Twitter by providing "clues" as to where the lovely little girl may be. Broadway, Sex and The City Tour, Wall Street, The Empire State Building, Yankees Game...? Nothing has been off limits! Many celebrities, such as Ellen DeGeneres and Steve Martin, have both endorsed and encouraged the cobra. Jon Stewart said that she was another "free Egyptian", while Jimmy Kimmel poked fun at the escape artist's alleged antics. The cobra has even sparked a merchandise line!
