Vegas Honors World Aids Day with 2nd Annual Rock the Ribbon Concert Featuring Mya, Kimberly Locke and Many Others
This week, on December 1st, 2010, the 2nd Annual Rock the Ribbon World AIDS Day event in Las Vegas, NV is being held. This international event is hosted by Anthony Polimeni, the Founder of My HIV, My AIDS as well as Bobby Townsend,the current title holder of Mr. Philadelphia HIV/AIDS 2011.
The 2010 Rock the Ribbon World Aids Day Vegas event is sponsored and supported by the likes of LOGO, TMZ and the Rumor Las Vegas Hotel Resort. The day will honor those that have been impacted by HIV/AIDS and the people that provide the life-saving supportive services. LOGO, TMZ and other major media outlets as well as local press will be on-site providing international coverage throughout the day and night.
The event day festivities will kick off with a celebrity performer press conference hosted at the Rumor Boutique Hotel at 10 AM. That evening, at 7:00 PM, the Gypsy Nightclub will house an exclusive awards ceremony that will provide recognition to those that have given their time, efforts, money and energy to making the lives of those infected with the HIV virus better. From the local HIV service agencies, to doctors, and even the Vegas Mayor himself, these awards are being given on behalf of the National Association of People with AIDS and represent the countless faces that work so hard every day. Throughout the awards show, the audience will be entertained by the cast members of Divas Las Vegas.
After the awards show, the event will open to the public with an honoree cocktail reception in 8 ½ Nightclub at 9:00 PM. Sponsored drinks will flow all night long and the lineup of celebrities will start to build. The superstar performers will include Mya, Kimberley Locke, Dezmond Meeks, Julissa Veloz, Kristine Elejaz, Sir JET, Dawn Saint Pierre, Nomi Madness and many more.
