Being Joe Jackson’s Lawyer Is Dangerous Business

The man we love to hate, Michael Jackson’s father, Joe Jackson, filed a wrongful death suit on the anniversary of Michael’s death, June 25th, 2010 against Dr. Conrad Murray. He accused Dr. Murray of professional negligence for providing Michael with a mix of sedatives — including the anesthetic propofol.
TMZ reported recently that the lawsuit may be thrown out because Jackson left some key information out of the suit.
“A federal judge in the case chastised Jackson and his attorney Brian Oxman for failing to specify where two of the health clinics Murray practiced conduct their business. This information is needed to determine whether the federal court has jurisdiction. Jackson has one week to amend the complaint or the suit will be dismissed. Even if that is the case though, Jackson could always refile and name Murray as the lone defendant.”Lawyer Brian Oxman has been working on the response to the judge so that the case will not be thrown out. Well, it seems working for Joe Jackson is dangerous for your health. Oxman was walking down the stairs with the brief in his hand to give to a courier when he took a tumble. He injured himself so badly that he had to ask the court for a delay. Bad luck or divine justice?
