Celebrity Charity Event "Riddim + Rum" a Success for Soles4Souls

Somehow, October 12 was deemed the ideal date for doing charity by several organizers when celebrities came calling to make each one of them a runaway success. One of them happened to be sport lifestyle brand PUMA’s initiative. On the back of ardent support from a host of celebrities, the larger than life brand had decided to get the fall season underway by way of indulging in charity for a deserving cause. The event, which was themed Riddim + Run was held at the Siren Studios, Hollywood CA whilst benefiting the nonprofit organization of Soles4Souls.
To the delight of the guests, the Jamaican flavor in terms of inspired décor and refreshments was central to the event’s proceedings all along in a bid to pay homage to FAAS – PUMA’s running collection with a tough of inspiration from Jamaica. As well, Josh Madden took it on himself to entertain the guests by taking to the DJ set provided to him while renowned DJ and Producer Diplo chipped in with a special performance.
In addition, the charity event had marked the launch of a unique month-long program by way of which the nonprofit will be benefited through the PUMA Stores spread across the length and breadth of the country; consumers can donate shoes to Soles4Souls October 11 through November 12 in any PUMA store location, and avail of a 30% discount on a new pair of shoes or 15% off at PUMA outlet stores. Donations are also being accepted online at PUMA.com though. As well, donors of $10 to the charity organization can avail of 30% off a new pair of shoes.
A host of celebrities who had come to grace the occasion included Chris Evans, Nicole Richie, Taryn Manning, Ashley Benson, Pia Toscano, Tyler Posey, Matt Dallas, Mike O’Malley, Josh Wolf, Meagan Good, John Conway, Sam Endicott and Anthony Burulcich, Manish Dayal, Joel and Benji Madden, Pete Wentz, Samantha Ronson, Adam Pally, Cara Castronuova, Baseball Player Johnny Damon, Soccer Stars Natasha Kai and Leslie Osborne and The IT Boys among many others.
Interestingly, all the guests were requested to bring along one pair of gently worn shoes for giving away to Soles4Souls who in turn are dedicated to providing footwear to adults and children in need all over the world.
