Charlie Sheen: "I Showed People Magic"
"I'm under the influence of you," Sheen told Piers Morgan in a recent interview, "...I'm still alive, which is pretty cool."
To be honest, no one is sure what to think of the Wallstreet and Two and a Half Men star. However, he has officially proclaimed himself as "clean". The beloved train wreck may still be a train wreck though, whether he sobered up or not.
Despite wearing a mask of sanity, so to speak, in his interview with Piers Morgan, another interview that I found makes him seem like a totally different person.
With "Good Morning America's" Andrea Canning, the actor claims he is not "bipolar, but, bi-winning" and has "tiger blood".
"Your anger and your hate is coming off as erratic to people," Ms. Canning informed him.
"My passion! It's all passion!" he proclaimed. Yes, I guess passion could make you "out there" to say the least. Hmm...Very interesting.
He cites "radical people" who have helped and reached out to him: Sean Penn, Colin Farrell, and Mel Gibson. Colin Farrell has a "bad boy" reputation and Sean Penn is an upstanding citizen in the Hollywood community. We all know that Mel Gibson has been in a similar situation to Charlie Sheen's as well and we have also watched his downward spiral.
He came off as a bit of a sarcastic, dirty-looking, disheveled person. However, I can't judge him based on these alone.
"Because I'm me. I'm different and have a different brain, heart and constitution...Dying's for fools! I'm too smart to go down! Now, I'm sorry for the guys that happened to, but, you should have read the directions before you showed up to party," the former Two and a Half Men star explained. Who knew that there was such an art to being a drug addict?
When confronted about his partying, this was a rather interesting response:
"I mean, what's not to love? Especially when you see how I party, it was epic! You should have seen the run I was on- Sinatra, Flynn, Jagger, Richards, all of 'em just looked like droopy-eyed, armless children...I'm proud of what I created- it was radical! I exposed people to magic! That's a gift, man!"
"One of the women was afraid she might O.D.," Ms. Canning began.
"What does that have to do with me?!?" he replied. After informing him that he was "showing them the party", Sheen had a wild, bewildered expression on his face. Charlie Sheen is living proof and the definition of the term "train wreck".
