Hulkster Files Defamation Lawsuit Against Ex-wife
Former World Wrestling Federation, now the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), legend Hulk Hogan filed a lawsuit for defamation against his ex-wife, Linda Bollea. In the suit, the Hulkster claims his ex-wife lied about him in her autobiography and during a series of promotional events.
On Thursday, Hollywood Hogan, who resides in Clearwater, Florida, claims that Linda Bollea wrote “Wrestling The Hulk: My Life Against the Ropes” to help rejuvenate her lackluster career following their 2009 divorce. Ms. Bollea alleged in the book that Terry Bollea, the real name for the Hulka-mania leader, physically and mentally abused her during their marriage, including dragging her by her hair and clothes and choking her.
Moreover, when Ms. Bollea was interviewed on television and radio this year, she repeated those same allegations. According to Fox News Channel in June she said, “I thought he could kill me. He had his hands around my neck one time in bed, and he started squeezing my throat. He just went into this trance, and I was looking at him and saying, 'Terry, stop, stop. I can't breathe.'” In addition, Ms. Bollea alleged in a different interview that the New World Order (NWO) leader had a homosexual relationship with a fellow wrestler.
The former 12-time World Heavyweight Champion is demanding a jury trial. He is also requesting the book be removed from sale by the publisher HarperCollins
