Sean Penn Ordered To Anger Management Classes, Community Service
Sean Penn has never been a guy to keep things light and friendly, so it's no wonder he was once again caught up in a legal mess with a member of the paparazzi which led to his latest problems.
The original incident occurred in October of 2009, and was caught on film. A photographer was taking video of Penn when Sean approached the man and proceeded to kick him, break his camera and threaten to kill him. According to the man's lawyers, he needed surgery after the altercation and pressed charges against Penn.
Sean was facing misdemeanor charges of vandalism and battery, but pleaded no contest to the vandalism charges, while the battery charge was dropped. Penn was given 36 months of probation, 300 hours of community service and must complete 36 hours of anger management. One bright note, some of the work Sean had done for the Haitian relief effort will go towards his community service hours.
Honestly, after years of getting in trouble for his terrible temper, especially towards photographers, you'd think Sean would learn to chill the eff out. But for some people, the simplest lessons in life are also the most difficult.
