Jane Alexander (Ally Sheedy) had a simple life. Her Aunt Gert (Patty McCormack), who raised her, adored her and the feeling was mutual. Then one day, things were not so simple.

Citizen Jane, made for the Hallmark Channel in 2009, is based on Jane Alexander’s story. One afternoon she received a phone call from the San Jose police.
