Catching Fire: The Mysterious Case of Finnick Odair
Rumors about who should play Finnick Odair have been floating around the internet for close to a month. Every "Hunger Games" fan (myself included) have their own opinions. So, who exactly is playing Finnick Odair- the studly sex god from District Four? Producers have said that it might be a relatively unknown actor and that the part hasn't been chosen. But, I (like many people) think that's not true.
Let's take a look at the names being tossed around:
Justin Bieber: PLEASE GOD NO! Please, don't do that to us. Luckily, this has been confined to the message boards.
Robert Pattinson: Thankfully, he also denied these rumors. Robert Pattinson is far from the bronzed sex god described in the book. However, he apparently had to confirm with his agent that he wasn't in the running for the coveted role after reading a plethora of rumors. He has absolutely nothing in common with Finnick Odair, unlike his "Twilight" co-star, Taylor Lautner.
Armie Hammer: I could see him as a possibility. Supposedly, a lot of others can, too. According to the rumor mill he is one of the top contenders for the role. Only time will tell.
Taylor Kitsch: He recently shot down the rumors that he will be playing Finnick.
Jesse Williams: For a while, he was being hailed as the fan favorite. However, no one has been able to confirm or deny that he will be playing Finnick Odair. However, he was recently quoted as saying "I didn't know what a Finnick was and have since been educated". The "Hunger Games"-related race controversy was recently sparked again with this actor. However, many fans seem to think that he would be able to play the role very well.
