Pitch Perfect is a film about an a capella group called
"The Bellas" who are trying to show up the male a capella group on campus. From the trailer, it looks like a realistic portrayal of the a cappella groups I have seen around campus. Most of them are a bit snobby, full of themselves yet fairly talented. Interestingly, it is based on Mickey Rapkin's non-fiction novel, "Pitch Perfect", in which he documents his experiences covering competitive collegiate a cappella. While this sounds a bit out there to most of us, it turns out that these singers have groupies, cat fights, rivalries, and rockstar-worthy parties.

This film about "sexy pitches" and "acafellas" looks pretty funny! As a college student, I know that a lot of the campus groups that are involved in any sort of competition have a tendency to take themselves a little too seriously. The fairly young and talented cast should make the movie very fun to watch! Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson (Bridesmaids scene-stealer), and Brittany Snow will be the main stars.
