Oz The Great and Powerful - New Trailer
Not set to debut in U.S. theaters until March 2013, Disney's fantasy-adventure film "Oz the Great and Powerful" pays tribute to the original character of L. Frank Baum's character, the Wizard of Oz. The prequel to the Wonderful Wizard of Oz is the story of an unethical and unknown circus magician, Oscar Diggs, played by James Franco. Oscar is carried away from wind-swept Kansas to the Land of Oz.
Upon arriving In Oz, the Oscar is convinced that fame and fortune has finally arrived.Then, he runs into the three witches, Theodora, Evanora and Glinda. Convinced that Oscar is a great and powerful wizard, the three witches bid for his talents as Oscar discovers who is good and who is evil in the Land of Oz. He uses his illusions and smarts to transform himself into the great and powerful Wizard of Oz and eventually becomes a better man in the process.
The film is directed by Sam Raimi, produced by Joe Roth and wirtten by Mitchell Kapner and David Lindsay-Abaire. The trailer to the film is below:
