"The Avengers" Will Literally Be Reaching New Heights in Space

Before you can say "to infinity and beyond", the most awesome thing to happen to movies will be happening (no, it isn't Tim Burton's hair). In case you haven't heard, the summer's hottest film will be shown in space. The astronauts at the International Space Station will get to see "The Avengers" in a way that no one can imagine: in space!
The record-breaking film will be uplinked from Mission Control in Houston, Texas and screened for the entire crew of the International Space Station. Many have said that the movie will be good for the morale of the crew and remind them of home. Even more ironically, the movie is about a band of superheroes defending the Earth from both aliens and each other.
This is definitely a special occasion for the men and women who are brave enough to go where few ever have the chance to go!. While you couldn't pay me to get on a space shuttle, I will admit that I am very envious. This opportunity will present a unique experience and the best of both worlds.
Ironically, there are only six Avengers and six members of the International Space Station. They are orbiting 220 miles above the Earth and I am sure that they will enjoy a film that millions have enjoyed already. This is the first movie to be screened in space.
