The Wonderful World of Kittens Is a Purrfect Gift for Cat Lovers (DVD)
Not everyone has an inner crazy cat person, but those who truly love cats are always in danger of becoming hoarders. Kittens are irresistible--funny little clowns who entertain with their antics. They’ll play with just about anything and they whizz around the house as though they’ve OD’d on energy drinks.
Of course there’s a downside to owning a lot of cats; it’s called “the litter box.” Or, more accurately, “the litter boxes.”
If you can’t get enough of cute, cuddly, sometimes overactive kittens, you’ll love The Wonderful World of Kittens, the next best thing to an all-day all-kitties cable channel. For the sports fan, there are lots of scenes of kittens wrestling and playing with balls.
Basically, 45 minutes of home movies with a funky soundtrack, The Wonderful World of Kittens is simply kittens doing what kittens do best--playing, eating, napping, and being adorable. There is no narration or effort at getting artistic camera shots. In fact, most of the DVD features close-ups of the little tabbies, sometimes a bit too close to appreciate them.
Also included on The Wonderful World of Kittens is a photo gallery slide show of the kittens and “Cat Head Theatre,” which appears to be a coming attraction for an odd movie starring the heads of cats superimposed on Japanese warrior bodies. I could be wrong (but I swear the liquor vault is on a timer that doesn’t unlock this early).
Bottom Line: Would I buy The Wonderful World of Kittens? I would, as a gift for someone who loves cats or if I had a business that catered to cat fanciers (e.g., vet, pet supply) where I would play it endlessly.
