The Walt Disney Animation Studios film, Wreck-It Ralph, is a movie that the entire family will enjoy. At first glance, one might believe that the film is violence-filled based on the title, but it's far from a violent film.Wreck-It Ralph

The star of the film, Ralph, is a retro arcade villain, whose career may loosely remind you of that ape in Donkey Kong. However, Ralph is no gorilla, though he definitely has the features, a large body and oversized arms. Ralph though is different from his colleagues in the arcade game world, because he is repentant.

Repentant? How can a villain be repentant? Well, Ralph seeks to change his ways and stop doing wrong, though that proves difficult. The film opens with Ralph in a 12 step program for supervillains. It is at that point that Ralph decides to go "turbo" and win over the hearts and minds of the "good guys."

Of course, the good guys are not really good. They are just like the self-righteous and pious people that you can find in the world around you today. Ralph journeys through a few other arcade games as he tries to make amends and earn a medal.

Ralph allies with a few other dysfunctional arcade characters as he eventually saves the day in a self-sacrificing manner. But don't let me persuade you that Wreck-It Ralph is just an arcade-action film, the movie's epilogue will make any repentant sinner break down in tears.
