Bridge Constructor Puts Your Mind To The Test

With more than 80 votes, Bridge Constructor has been the Top Game in the AppStore for almost a week now. But is it really that great or just buzz worthy?
Bridge Constructor is the type of game that puts your mind to the test. You don't need to be an architect or an actual constructor to be able to build these bridges, but you do need a keen eye to see the big picture before all the puzzle pieces are put together. Or, better said, before the wood, steel, cables or concrete pillars are put together.
The main goal in Bridge Constructor is to build durable bridges using the minimum of your resources. For every bridge, you are given a certain sum of money that you can not exceed when buying your materials and putting them together. And that's when the challenge begins. The good part is that you can always remove any unnecessary piece of the bridge, once you realize you don't have enough money to use it. The not so good part is that it might take a while until you manage to figure out just what you did wrong, what other pieces you should use and how.
When you think you found just the right solution, it's time to test your bridge. You can use two types of load bearing vehicles: cars or trucks. And, of course, you get more points if your bridge is strong enough to hold a truck. But a car will also do the trick if you're more interested in clearing the levels than raising a lot of points.
All in all, I can understand the fascination behind Bridge Constructor, mainly because it's not just another easy, fun and beautifully colored arcade game. But not being able to build the right bridge no matter how hard you try, might make you more frustrated than if you were playing just another easy, fun and beautifully colored arcade game.
