Nintendo Confirms Wii Mini For $99.99 Is Coming
Nintendo confirmed that a new Wii Mini console gaming system is coming on December 7, 2012 for a low-price of $99.99, according to a report.
The Wii Mini is designed solely to play Wii games. It will be smaller than the original Wii system, and comes in matte black with a red color border.
The Wii Mini can play more than 1,300 disc-based Wii games, and the system comes with a red Wii Remote Plus, a red Nunchuck controller, a sensor bar, a power adapter and a standard composite cable. It is compatible to work with Wii software and most of the latest and newest Wii accessories. However, it has no Internet capabilities and the system does not play Nintendo Gamecube games.
For now, the Wii Mini will only be available exclusively in Canada during the 2012 holiday season. No announcements have been made by Nintendo about the device's potential availability in other territories in the future.
