The sudden price drop of the Nintendo Wii confirmed rumors that the Wii 2 is likely to be unveiled in June at the E3 gaming expo.

Several major retailers like Wal-Mart, Target, Gamestop, Amazon have marked down the price of the Wii Bundle from $199.99 to S169.99 which includes a Wii MotionPus remote, a Nunchuk Controller, Wii Sports and Wii Resorts.

Nintendo hasn't make an official announcement yet about the price cut However it's not a coincidence that many retailers are selling the Wii for less than the regular price. However the price cut is not surprising since Engadget mentioned that the Wii price would be cut by May 15.

I am looking forward for the E3 event in June. If those rumors are true, there might be a chance that Nintendo will launching a new Wii console.
