The world of online gaming is shaping up to quickly become a very large source of entertainment. While the "old days" of sitting in front of a TV to watch football are not gone, it is also likely to find oneself sitting in front of a computer to watch a Starcraft 2 match.

Take a gaming community of passionate fans and a good strategy game such as Starcraft 2, throw in professional gamers who are paid to play, and add the ever evolving online streaming technology and you get yourself the perfect recipe for what is now called eSports.

The North American Star League embodies this concept. As they put it, NASL "was established to foster the prominence of esports and professional Starcraft 2 play in North America through highly visible organized and invigorating competition." However they don't only broadcast in America, they also rebroadcast all their matches for Europeans at later times.

After a season full Starcraft 2 action, excellent commentary by the progamers EG.Incontrol and Gretorp and many other casters, we are now at the finals, starting on July 8th. The matches will be hosted by the best casters in the Starcraft community: Sean "Day[9]" Plott and Tastosis (every avid fan knows that we are talking about the duo Tasteless and Artosis). Although we do raise the question, where's DJWheat?

Nevertheless, the finals are going to be some of the most exciting Starcraft 2 games to date.

The players will be (ordered by matches):

Ret vs Puma
Sheth vs Squirtle
Morrow vs July
Hasuobs vs Moon
Sen vs Zenio
Darkforce vs Strelok
Select vs White-Ra
MC vs Boxer

Will the Korean players dominate this league, or will we prove to them that they are not the top players as they claim to be?

Find out at the finals!
