Waiting for Star Wars: A Closer Look at the Sith Inquisitor
BioWare and LucasArts recently gave the anxiously awaiting MMO world a little more information on the Sith Inquisitor. They are the "dark geniuses of the Empire". "[M]asters of treachery and dark Force power." And, seemingly, a class that can branch off to become either an assassin or a sorcerer.
It may not seem like it warrants a news alert, but this little glimpse into the Sith Inquisitor indicates that BioWare might be moving away from traditional MMO classes.
Sure, every MMO has an assassin or rogue class and a mage or sorcerer class. But think about that for a moment... Those are usually two separate class with completely separate paths of development. All indications are the Sith Inquistor is a class that can branch out in either direction - sorc or sin - but starts out along the same development path.
That's not a huge or earth shattering departure, particularly if the player is given a choice early in the character's development, but it does show that BioWare is thinking a little differently and maybe Star Wars: The Old Republic won't just be a WoW ripoff in space.
