Ex-ScientologyKids.com's Kendra Wiseman Speaks Out On WAPI
Sometimes the best way to understand how profoundly people are affected by something is to hear it straight from the source.
Kendra Wiseman is just that source. Kendra left the Church of Scientology, after spending most of her life in the organization. Kendra, along with Jenna Miscavige Hill and Astra Woodcraft started the site www.exscientologykids.com. She's also been disconnected from her family.
Kendra grew up in Los Angeles, went to school at Delphi LA and spent a year on staff at CCHR. Born into a Scientology family, Kendra's parents and most of her family disconnected from her in 2005 when she refused to stop speaking to anti-Scientologists online.Kendra named her first computer "Zot", and stubbornly called it that until she was 15. She plays Magic: The Gathering and actively fosters her unhealthy obsession with Flash RPGs. She currently lives in Beijing, China, where she works as a writer and designer. Her published articles have appeared in the San Diego Reader, the Sacramento News & Review and other national and international publications.
Kendra's father, Bruce Wiseman is president of the CCHR, Citizens Commission on Human Rights, often referred to as Scientology's anti-psychiatry front group. The CCHR are committed to Scientology's global campaign to "obliterate psychiatry."
Kendra spoke to WAPI about her experiences and that can be heard here.
I've never been a Scientologist, but I have discovered the most damaging details from hearing from those who've been damaged by their experiences within the organization. I encourage you to listen.
