Dames, the officer in charge of Grand Bahama, would not comment on whether there are more people to be charged in the alleged plot. He also would not comment on whether wiretaps were used in the investigation.

He held a news conference yesterday in Freeport to update the public on the status of the complaint.

There's been some question about when the call was made to EMS compared to when Jett was found unconscious. Supposedly a significant time period passed. This type of behavior is consistent with other high profile Scientology deaths, including Church of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard's death and that of the now infamous Lisa McPherson, a Scientologist who was held captive after a "psychic episode", and died while in transport to a hospital 45 minutes away from where she was first found at the Flag Land Base in Clearwater. The Scientology staff "caring" for her, drove past 4 hospitals to a hospital farther away so she could be seen by a "Scientology" doctor, Dr. David Minkoff.

(editor's note: this is a rush copy, future updates expected)

Update: Looks like TMZ had this up, how dare I step away from the computer! TMZ is reporting that John Travolta had wondered if they'd be better off flying Jett to Florida (where ostensibly he could be treated and seen by Scientology's "doctors"), but ultimately opted to stay local. This lapse of good judgment is what led to controversy and subsequent extortion plot.
