Rihanna And Chris Brown Back Together
After Chris Brown gave Rihanna a bloody beating a couple of weeks ago, it seemed as though the couple were headed for splitsville...but hold on, not so fast. Rumor has it that Rihanna, like so many other abused women, has taken back her abusive boyfriend after they got together at Diddy's mansion to work things out:
The pair have reunited almost three weeks after Brown, 19, allegedly battered the "Umbrella" singer on Feb. 8, a source tells PEOPLE."They're together again. They care for each other," says the source. The on-again couple are currently spending time together at one of Sean "Diddy" Combs's homes, on Miami Beach's Star Island.
Adds the source: "While Chris is reflective and saddened about what happened, he is really happy to be with the woman he loves."
In its latest issue, PEOPLE reports that Brown called Rihanna on her 21st birthday one week ago. "He called to wish her happy birthday," a source told the magazine. "They've reached out to each other. It's been mutual."
And predictably, her family isn't too thrilled with this news:
"Everyone wants them to take a break, to cool off," a relative of Rihanna tells PEOPLE after the pair returned to Los Angeles together early Monday morning. "No one wants them back together." [...]"I'm concerned," continues the relative. "I don't want her to make a mistake, and I don't want her to ever go through his again."
But the entire trip wasn't devoted to the relationship. While in Miami, Brown did some recording at a studio designed by Lenny Kravitz located in the Setai hotel. "He was here to record," a source told PEOPLE. He also spent some time Jet skiing at the beach.
The couple left Miami early Monday morning on the same plane, arriving in Southern California.
Rihanna's father, however, shows the decisive and strong fatherly leadership that a girl like her needs at this important time in her life:
"Whatever road she chooses, I'm behind her," said Ronald Fenty, when reached by telephone on Barbados. Fenty took the reunion in stride Saturday, as he worked selling novelty items on a street corner in downtown Bridgetown. He says he hasn't spoken to his daughter since earlier this month, for her 21st birthday, and only found out about the reconciliation through the media.
