Scientology advocates using vitamins, sweating and auditing to fix whatever mental illness you may be afflicted with. They also place the added stigma of the person being "unethical" or damaged in some way. This could ultimately (and has in several instances) lead to people refusing treatment for some very real and debilitating mental illnesses, like depression, bi-polar disorder and schizophrenia.
A world without psychologists and psychiatrists here to help those who have genuine chemical imbalances or who've suffered from some sort of mental or emotional trauma would be a dangerous, frightening and sad world in deed. Scientology's war on psychiatry seems more like a campaign of terror and misinformed propaganda, regardless of its intentions.
