Emilie Autumn: The Voice of Today's Dark Cabaret and "The Devil's Carnival"

Emilie Autumn may just be one of the most interesting women alive. She's an accomplished violinist with a haunting voice and the fashion sense that reminds you of Victorian candy canes with bubblegum hair to match. The pink-glittered goth musician is a force in and of herself. She is very open about spending time in a psych ward due to difficulties with bipolar disorder. Her cell number from the psych ward is actually tattooed on her arm. Her voice is somewhere between a contralto and dramatic soprano. As a classically trained musician, she draws a lot of inspiration from the Victorian Era.
Her persona and voice are a glitter-stained masterpiece. Between glam rock and classical vocal music, Emilie Autumn has established herself. As a former violinist, I also enjoy hearing her incorporate the violin into her music.
But, what exactly is she up to now?
She recently starred in "The Devil's Carnival", a horror movie by Darren Lynn Bousman. The film was recently screened as an unofficial part of Comic Con. The film is about three sinners who meet at the gates of hell and enter a carnival. Between a sadistic knife thrower, painted dolls and, of course, clowns, the film is sure to be a cult hit!
