Just a few days ago, singer Justin Timberlake took to Twitter and hinted at something big to be released.

Timberlake even released a video with more hints, that has amassed over 5 million views in just a few days. Twitter was abuzz with excitement and rumors about what the announcement would be.

Since then, the cat has been let out of the bag — Timberlake is releasing a new single - his first in over six years, since the release of album Future Sex/Love Sounds in 2006.

Here's the song, for your enjoyment and sharing:

The single, called Suit and Tie, features Jay Z, and was an unexpected compilation, according to Timberlake. "The inspiration for this really came out of the blue and to be honest, I didn't expect anything out of it. I just went into the studio and started playing around with some sounds and songs. It was probably the best time I've had in my career... Just creating with no rules and/or end goal in mind and really enjoying the process."

It's understandable that any new release took this long, as the singer has been involved in a number of films and the pending music-centered reboot of MySpace.

On Timberlake's website, the singer spoke of much still to come after the release. "This year is an exciting one for me. As you probably have heard through the "grapevine," I'm gearing up for a big 2013." said Timberlake.

The singer and actor took to the still-invite only New Myspace earlier today, sharing his excitement about the release.

Suit and Tie is available for download on the iTunes Store.

Calling his upcoming album "The 20/20 Experience, Timberlake hints at much much more to come. "What I came up with is something I couldn't be more excited about! It is full of inspiration that I grew up listening to and some newfound muses that I've discovered along the way."

Want an invite to the New MySpace? I still have four left. Simply retweet the story from here, and I'll pick at random from the comments below over the next day or two.
