Madonna is taking jabs at Lady Gaga’s ‘Born This Way’ yet again. In a recent interview with a Brazilian TV network, Madonna commented about ‘Born This Way,’ snidely joking, "I'm a really big fan of ['Born This Way']. I'm glad that I helped Gaga write it." Ok Madonna, we get the point.

As you all know, this is not the first time Madonna has made note of the similarities between ‘Express Yourself’ and ‘Born This Way.’ She has previously called Gaga’s song “reductive” and has been performing a mash-up of ‘Express Yourself’ and ‘Born This Way’ on her MDNA tour since it began in May. At this point, one has to wonder if Madonna will ever learn to move on.

When ‘Born This Way’ was first released, and people noted its similarities to ‘Express Yourself,’ Madonna immediately had the upper hand in the so-called feud between Gaga and herself. She could have held the upper hand indefinitely simply by taking the high road and refusing to stoop to insults and cheap jabs. Instead, she has spent the last few months reminding us ad nauseam of her apparent distain for Gaga and her work.

For a woman who mastered the publicity game decades ago, one would think Madonna would realize that her behavior is starting to come across more as a desperate attempt at keeping her name in the headlines than as an expression of righteous anger. It’s a shame, too, because Madonna’s tour is going extremely well, and its success would likely generate more headlines if she could simply stop saturating the media with her silly feud with Gaga.
