Welcome to Rockville: Hot New Monster Energy Music Festival Will Hit Jacksonville on May 8th

Already known as a rock and roll Mecca, on May 8th, 2011, Jacksonville, Florida will see the birth of the latest new rock music festival to hit the summer tour circuit, Welcome to Rockville.
The festival will feature more than 20 bands on three stages. Godsmack, Seether, Stone Sour, Theory of a Deadman, Puddle of Mudd, Skillet, Halestorm, Rev Theory, My Darkest Days, Cavo, Art of Dying and Cold are some of the bands who have already signed on for the single day event.
Presented by David Wimmer, one of the men responsible for the wildly successful Rock on the Range festival, along with Mike Yokan and Jason Lewis of Orange Garden Productions, Welcome to Rockville festival is expected to be one of summer 2011's biggest draws for music fans. As a Jacksonville native, Wimmer is particularly proud to be presenting the new festival, and its growing list of stellar rock bands, in his own hometown.
"Welcome To Rockville for me is a dream come true. I've been very successful in launching some of the biggest rock festivals in North America and to finally bring an event of this magnitude home means the world to me. As a former partner in The Milk Bar I know just how great the rock music fans in this town are.
Jacksonville finally has an event to match that passion."
-- David Wimmer
Mistress Juliya from Fuse TV will play host for Welcome to Rockville festival's debut. The festival sponsors are Metro PCS and Monster Energy Drink, who will be presenting the main stage for the event. Jagermeister will be presenting the third stage.
Jagermeister, a company once known primarily for their unique alcohol offering, is quickly becoming one of the most important sponsors in music festival history. They've been hunting down the hottest new bands in rock and metal and showcasing them on their stages.
A musical pioneer, Jagermeister has fast become one of the most respected and influential platforms in creating and shaping the future of rock and metal music. You should never miss the bands performing on a Jagermeister festival stage; they are the hottest breaking bands and, more often than not, they are the stand-out performances of the festival.
In support of Jagermeister's initiative, I've devoted myself to covering their headlining tours and the Jagermeister sponsored festival bands as often as possible. Along with the Slayer Jagermeister Music Tour review and live backstage video interviews with Slayer guitarist Kerry King and Anthrax's Joey Belladonna and Charlie Benante, Technorati has covered Uproar Festival 2010, featuring a live backstage interview with New Medicine and interviews with Winds of Plague front man, Johnny Plague and Ray Luzier from Korn, headliner of Rockstar Energy/ Jagermeister Mayhem Festival 2010.
