American Idol Results are in...Did the Voters Get it Right?

The results are in and we are down to the top 16 on American Idol. Twenty-seven million people voted. Those eliminated were:
Michelle Delamor, 22, FL. Who did an off-key, pitchy, poorly done rendition of "Arms Wide Open." She didn't do much better on her swan song, which is telling. Was she the worst of the girls? No, not by a long shot in my opinion. There were moments when you could hear some real talent from her, and I hope she keeps at it.
Haeley Vaughn, 16, CO. She did a god awful rendition of "The Climb" and was even worse on the results show, although she was fighting tears. The voters totally got this one right. She should have gone last week.
John Park, 21, IL. He covered the song "Gravity," and he wasn't god-awful, but he wasn't good. I think with time he would have improved and his somewhat improved swan song was proof in the pudding that he maybe wasn't quite ready to go. I think in the long run he wouldn't have made it to the end, but there were certainly others who performed much worse who could have gone.
Jermaine Sellers, 27, IL. His coverage of "What's Going On" was seriously not going on. He didn't show the vocal chops to make it to the final 10. Thumbs up on this one.
The 8 remaining ladies will take the stage on Tuesday March 9th 8-9pm ET/PT.
The 8 remaining gents will have their go on Wednesday March 10th at 9-10pm ET/PT of course on Fox!
The guest performers next week will be Scott MacIntyre and Matt Giraud from season 8.
