Betty White Host SNL? Let's Make It Happen!
Some intrepid Facebookers have started a campaign for the 88 year old legendary comedic actress to host Saturday Night Live. And how awesome would it be if SNL actually listened?
With six Emmy Awards (and an astounding 16 nominations), Betty White's phenomenal comedy career has spanned decades. While she is best known as dimwitted Rose from the hit series (and cult classic) The Golden Girls, her recent resume boasts guest spots on programs like My Name Is Earl, Chelsea Lately, and Ugly Betty, showcasing a brilliantly twisted sense of humor. White's buzz-worthy Super Bowl Snickers commercial makes now the perfect time for this legend to appear on the Studio 8H stage.
White's supporting role in the nearly-unwatchable movie Lake Placid turned that film into a (repeated) must-view. She clearly has the comedy chops to save any dreadful script thrown at her. With the Facebook fan number closing in on 150,000, I hope that SNL's producer's take a risk (these producer types tend to shun the older demographic) and hand hosting duties over to this comedy icon.
